Written by Two of our current projects are defining new models for delivering health care to under-served populations in Harris County, Texas. Both involve creating new access to health services through neighborhood ‘portals’ – places where communities gather already. Introducing health services into a community gathering place brings lots of change: new service providers, new ‘customers’, sharing of places and resources. Changes like this can be challenging to a community.
We are working with two great clients who understand these challenges. In each project, we’re bringing together all of the stakeholders for a one-day “DesignLab” to DISCOVER, DREAM, DESIGN and develop shared vision and design goals…. Residents, Community Members, Health Services Providers, Administrators, Social Services Providers, Architects and Engineers.
